“The power of action by one individual citizen can start a wave of movement that can change our world. Do not underestimate the power in your own two hands, use them for good.”

Mother Earth’s Green Services LLC, home to Cannabis Basics and Hemp Basics has worked to educate, promote, and praise the majesty of the cannabis plant for 27 years.
Today our world issues are far more pressing than the ill treatment of our beloved plant and thinking globally has never been more important. While our planet struggles for survival with the fight against an ongoing devastating pandemic, we bear witness to painful outcries for social justice and watch the fragility of our beloved democracy. Overwhelmed, I search to find meaning in the madness and to make sense of the cruelty.
Citizen Mary Jane was born this January from a simple desire to take an action that would honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. That day I walked 25 blocks picked up trash, recycling, compost, hazardous waste and rescued a ridiculous number of face masks and random cannabis packaging from entering our city’s water way system. Fortunately, having great music and a beautiful sativa make the task easier, however, I become saddened, frustrated and quite frankly embarrassed by the way we, citizens of Seattle, citizens of Washington State, citizens of the United States are treating Mother Earth.
As painful as it is to really look at our mess, it feels great to do something about it. So, regularly now, I’ve created this coping mechanism by thinking smaller and acting locally, focusing on simple actions that I can do with my own two hands, while encouraging others to do the same.
Cleaning up a mess that is not your own is an act of love.
